License Activation Guide
1 · Open the app
On first launch, OctoHires shows the activation screen instead of the overlay. The app stays locked until a valid license is verified.
2 · Enter your key
Paste the key from your welcome email — it looks like ICP-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. The field auto-formats as you type.
3 · Activate
Click Activate. Your device is registered against your license (up to your plan's device limit) and the app unlocks immediately.
Offline use
Once activated, the app works offline for your plan's grace period (7–14 days) and silently re-verifies whenever you're online, extending the window each time.
Moving to a new device
If you hit your device limit, free a slot at https://www.octohires.com/manage, then activate on the new machine. Reinstalling on the same device never uses an extra slot.
